Developer Adds Phuket Ramada.

Ramada Resort Karon Beach is the latest to join Destination Properties Thailand Hotels portfolio, with special family - oriented theme guestrooms and a Hilton in the horizon.

Destination Properties has announced its plans to open the Ramada Resort Karon Beach, Phuket this month.

Managed by Hotel Corp, the Ramada Resort Karon Beach, formerly the Felix Hotel, will become Phuket's newest family - oriented four star resort.

The 121 rooms Karon Beach property is being refurbished, with its scheduled November reopening in time for the upcoming holiday season.

The Resort features 14 adventure theme rooms including the Spaceship room, the Underwater Submarine room and the Castle Room. All the resort's accommodations have been renovated and feature 25 - inch TVs.

Thailand Hotels are destination properties holdings include the Hilton Hua Hin Resort and Spa, while it recently acquired Kamala Bay Terrace Resort in Phuket, rebranding it a ALi La Phuket.

The company is also developing the Doubletree by Hilton golf Resort and Spa on Thailand's Eastern Seaboard. Tha property, to be managed by Hilton International, is slated to open in early 2008.

The company also owns Destination Air, a seaplane shuttle service flying from Phuket to Krabi, Phi Phi, Lanta Island and other destinations in the Andaman Sea such as Shambala Villas in Samui.
